Attached is a lengthy list of ideas for letters to the editor. Joyce Albright found out today that the Tribune will be allowing a section, once per week, on the sewer issue. Please do NOT copy the concepts in your letter, otherwise, the media will recognize our efforts as a group effort and we lose our credibility. LENGTH: Please keep your letters as close to 100 words as possible. Just use the ideas as CONCEPTS to write your own original letter. We need to repetitiously communicate a simple message: A VOTE FOR THE FUTURE OF LOS OSOS IS A NO VOTE ON C, D & E, AND A NO VOTE ON MEASURE B. (Please do not use the word initiative). ____________________________ SCHICKER AND TACKER: Please do not refer to them as "women", let's not= make a gender issue out of the campaign. You can refer to them as: CSD dissidents, CSD minority members, anti-project CSD members, CSD opposition leaders, etc. I would suggest any information regarding the efforts by Schicker & Tacker to coordinate with litigation be approached with the following: 1) They have expended an enormous amount of time and energy in negative acts. Litigation is negative and costly. Going before the Coastal Commission in April to revoke a permit was negative because it would have devalued the permit, a permit that cost about $20 million to get. 2) Schicker and Tacker ran on a platform to 'Move the Sewer'. Why has= n't their effort been expended on a defined plan to 'Move the Sewer'.Julie appeared before the RWQCB last month, and was essentially rebuked by the board regarding moving the sewer. 3) In over 8 months in office, they have never proposed a specific agenda item to address the specific cost associated with funding and re-designing the sewer. 4) In March, Julie presented ideas about the RWQCB, but she did not provide a specific agenda action that the board could reasonably go to the RWQCB with. 5) Lisa has not provided a single agenda item that is constructive towards re-designing the sewer., i.e. 'fund John Wallace & Assoc. (or other consultants) to provide cost evaluation of complete sewer re-design.' Much less gotten written confirmation from the Regional Board that they would be willing to allow us more time to do so. 6) They have accomplished nothing towards any future solution of wastewater treatment, whether it is the present project or any proposed project. 7) Lisa has referenced unpublished or non-existent reports. She should be challenged to produce them, or stop her accusations. 8) The energy they have spenthas resulted in - nothing - and furthermore they blame their lack of success not on their inability to providea substantial plan and reasons to change course, but on the actions of others. 9) They have shown they can only govern by denial, and not by proper action. 10) IF they are cooperating with the opposition legal council that is suing the CSD, this is a breach of their fiduciary responsibility, particularly when that information is given for the purpose of instigating or aiding litigation against the very government entity they are sworn to serve.
